News Summary

Elon Musk’s X has announced changes to its developer API access, removing the ability for free-tier users to like posts or follow other users. This move aims to reduce spam, bots, and manipulative activities on the platform. Developers on paid plans, such as Basic, Pro, or Enterprise, will not be affected and will continue to enjoy more capabilities and higher rate limits. While these changes may protect the platform, they could also push legitimate developers towards paid plans. X’s API platform has seen multiple changes under Musk, with increasing prices and a focus on revenue generation.
