News Summary

Meta’s social network, Threads, is testing a new feature that allows users to share long-form text content easily. This feature enables users to attach a block of text to a post, enhancing the ability to share in-depth thoughts, news snippets, and more. Unlike its competitor X, which offers long-form content sharing only to Premium subscribers, Threads’ feature is accessible to all users. This addition could help Threads retain creators and writers seeking broader article distribution. The feature, currently in testing, may evolve to include multimedia support. Threads, which recently reached 400 million monthly active users, continues to expand its features, including DMs, fediverse integrations, and AI enhancements.
