News Summary

Alex Komoroske, a former Google and Stripe product manager, along with a group of concerned technologists, has launched The Resonant Computing Manifesto. The manifesto aims to re-center Silicon Valley around its original innovative values, which many feel have been overshadowed by the pursuit of profit maximization. The initiative stems from an informal think tank formed by technologists worried about the industry’s current trajectory. A notable coauthor of the manifesto is Mike Masnick, founder of Techdirt. The manifesto is a response to the perceived cynicism in Silicon Valley and seeks to inspire a return to idealistic principles. The document invites others to sign and contribute to shared values through a collaborative online platform.
