Ontario Place Redevelopment Project Advances with Sewer Overflow Work
News Summary
Infrastructure Ontario and the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Gaming have initiated a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for construction management services aimed at the realignment and modification of the combined sewer overflow at Ontario Place. This step is part of a larger redevelopment project at 955 Lake Shore Blvd. W., which includes plans for a $400 million five-storey parking garage, extensive public trails, expanded green spaces, and various recreational facilities. The RFQ will shortlist teams with the necessary experience and financial capability to manage the project, with a Request for Proposal expected in early 2026. The overall redevelopment, projected to cost $2.2 billion, also involves building a spa and waterpark by the European company Therme on the West Island.
