Nvidia Achieves Record Sales Amid AI Demand Despite China Challenges
News Summary
Nvidia, the world’s most valuable company, reported record sales in the second quarter of 2025, driven by substantial demand for AI computing. The company achieved $46.7 billion in revenue, marking a 56% increase from the previous year, and a net income of $26.4 billion, a 59% rise. This growth was largely fueled by its data center business which contributed $41.1 billion. Nvidia’s advanced Blackwell chips played a significant role, accounting for $27 billion of the sales. Despite these achievements, Nvidia faces challenges in the Chinese market due to geopolitical restrictions and has halted production of its H20 chip. The company expects $54 billion in revenue for the third quarter, but this does not include any Chinese H20 chip sales.
