News Summary

Elon Musk’s ambition to establish an official city known as Starbase in South Texas is on the brink of realization, with a vote set for Saturday. The proposed city encompasses the area around SpaceX’s rocket launch site in Boca Chica, where most eligible voters are SpaceX employees. While the incorporation of Starbase appears highly likely, local environmental activists have raised concerns, fearing restricted public access to Boca Chica Beach and potential negative impacts on the community. Despite the opposition, the vote would further solidify Musk’s influence in the region, aligning with his vision for SpaceX as a central hub for his operations.
