News Summary

London, Ontario-based game developer Digital Extremes has announced plans to release a dedicated version of its popular game Warframe for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. However, the development is currently on hold as the company has not yet received a development kit from Nintendo. The existing Switch version of Warframe, released in November 2018, will be playable on the Switch 2, but a dedicated version is expected to bring significant technical improvements. Additionally, Digital Extremes is preparing for an Android closed beta of Warframe and is set to release its next major narrative chapter, The Old Peace, this fall.
