News Summary

Digg is undergoing a significant platform redesign, with the involvement of its “Groundbreakers” preview group, consisting of early-access users who are actively shaping the new look and functionality. Key upcoming features include user profiles, topic-specific communities, and leaderboards. The redesign aims to provide full feature parity between iOS and Android apps, as well as improvements to the desktop version, including dark mode and a compact view. The initiative is led by Digg’s original founder, Kevin Rose, who reacquired the platform in March 2025, along with Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian. Justin Mezzell, a collaborator of Rose, has been appointed as Digg’s new CEO.
