Canadian Companies Feature in 2025 Global Cleantech 100
News Summary
Nine Canadian tech companies have been named to the 2025 Global Cleantech 100 list, though the number of Canadian companies featured has dropped from last year. This year marks the first time since 2015 that fewer than ten Canadian companies are on the list. The Global Cleantech 100 showcases private cleantech companies predicted to make a substantial market impact in the next five to ten years. Eight of the nine Canadian companies on this year’s list also appeared last year, highlighting the need for increased investment and support to maintain Canada’s competitive edge in cleantech. Notable returnees include Cyclic Materials and Ionomr Innovations. The lone new Canadian company is Toronto-based Enersion, which develops eco-friendly cooling and heating technology. Despite being absent from this year’s list, Moment Energy has been active, securing funding and planning expansion in the U.S.
