News Summary

Canada has fallen from its long-held fourth position in the StartupBlink’s global startup ecosystem rankings, overtaken by Singapore’s rapid growth. Despite this, Toronto continues to shine, moving up to 21st place globally and recording the fastest growth among Canadian cities. Calgary also made significant gains, climbing to 92nd place. However, Canada’s overall ecosystem growth is lagging, with a heavy reliance on the US for funding posing potential long-term risks. The number of Canadian cities in the global top 1,000 fell, yet Canada remains one of the few countries with three or more cities in the top 50.
