Arcadis to Design TMU’s New Student Residence

Toronto

News Summary

Arcadis has been selected by Cedar Podium Investment Management as the design architect and architect of record for Toronto Metropolitan University’s (TMU) new 21-storey student housing project on Bond Street. This development is supported by an $83 million investment from the Government of Ontario’s Building Ontario Fund and will add 1,382 beds to TMU’s downtown campus. The project aims to address the student housing gap by providing affordable suite-style accommodations with private and shared rooms and eat-in kitchens. Designed to integrate both academic and residential needs, the building will feature two large auditoriums, lounges, study areas, and creative spaces. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2026.
