A new app named ‘Nearby Glasses’ has been developed to detect the presence of smart glasses nearby, addressing growing privacy concerns. The app scans for Bluetooth Low Energy signals emitted by devices like Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses and Snap’s spectacles. This initiative comes in response to the misuse of smart glasses for unauthorized filming, with developers aiming to counter modern surveillance issues. The app is available on the Google Play Store and GitHub.
