News Summary

Fable, a startup focused on creating tools for generating animated TV shows, has launched Showrunner, an AI-powered streaming service. Launching in alpha, Showrunner allows subscribers to generate animated scenes and view content created for Fable’s in-house AI-generated shows. Accessible primarily through Discord, subscribers can pay between $10 to $20 per month for credits to create new scenes. Fable introduces two original animated shows: Exit Valley, inspired by Silicon Valley culture, and Everything is Fine, a comedy about a couple stranded in an alternate world. Founder Edward Saatchi envisions a future where users can endlessly generate new scenes of popular characters like Buzz and Woody. Although creatives have mixed feelings about AI, companies like Amazon have invested in Fable, demonstrating growing interest in AI-driven content creation.
