News Summary

Apple has officially discontinued the iPhone 14, 14 Plus, and SE models in Canada following the launch of the new iPhone 16e. The discontinuation of these models marks a significant shift in Apple’s product lineup, as the company moves away from offering older, lower-priced models. The iPhone 16e introduces several new features, including an A18 chip, Face ID, USB-C charging, and a single-lens rear camera, with prices starting at $599. This change raises the price floor of iPhones in Canada to $899, eliminating the lower-cost option previously provided by the iPhone SE. The move also aligns with Apple’s transition from LCD to OLED displays across its product range. With the removal of the iPhone SE and 14, Apple has standardized its charging method to USB-C for all products.
