Canadian Companies Join NATO’s Defence Accelerator
News Summary
Twenty Canadian companies have been selected to join NATO’s Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA), the largest cohort to date. DIANA connects these companies with military end-users, mentors, and investors to develop and validate their innovations. Canadian participants include Avivo Biomedical, Alchemy, and others recognized in BetaKit’s Most Ambitious list, such as the Canadian Space Mining Corporation and Volta Space Technologies. Starting in January 2026, 150 companies from 24 NATO countries will receive funding and access to numerous DIANA accelerator sites and test centers. The companies will develop dual-use technologies for various defence and security challenges, including advanced communications, autonomous systems, and biotech.
