SecurityScorecard Acquires Toronto-based HyperComply
News Summary
SecurityScorecard, a New York City-based company specializing in vendor security review processes, has acquired HyperComply, a Toronto-based risk management platform. The acquisition aims to streamline the vendor security review process by integrating HyperComply’s compliance automation tools into SecurityScorecard’s platform, which is used by over 3,000 organizations, including two-thirds of the Fortune 500. The entire HyperComply team, including co-founders Amar Chahal and Cody Wright, who were formerly with Vidyard, have joined SecurityScorecard. Chahal now serves as the general manager and Wright as the CTO of assessments. This acquisition is expected to be a significant advancement for HyperComply customers, with plans to integrate offerings by late 2025. HyperComply had raised $10 million USD in seed funding from Canadian venture capital firms before the acquisition.
