Foresight Canada, in partnership with Social Innovation Canada, has launched Earth Tech: Adapt, a national accelerator dedicated to supporting climate adaptation ventures. This initiative aims to increase human and ecological resilience to current climate impacts such as wildfires, floods, and heat. The program is designed to support ventures with innovative solutions in areas like wildfire detection, flood mapping, water purification, and grid resilience. Companies in the program will receive tailored support, including diagnostics of business models, IP strategies, and technology readiness. The funding is supported by partners like RBC Foundation and Peter Gilgan Foundation. This effort follows the success of the Earth Tech: 2050 program, which aided startups like Hejmas in securing funding and partnerships for their sustainable pulp products.
