I’m an experienced CTO with over 30 years experience in software development, system architecture, database design, project leadership, project management, team leadership and product management.
As a previous startup founder and having worked with a number of startups as a fractional CTO, I understand the many challenges involved in bringing a software product to market and can help in a number of areas including:
– Product ideation and refinement – To ensure a concept is both developable and has strong fit to market.
– System architecture – Whether using a dev shop or building in-house, having a proper data model, architecture and system design is the first, cheapest step towards a successful product launch.
– Team development and management – Building a team is one of the biggest challenges for a startup and making sure you have the best possible talent is crucial to success.
– Team leadership – Getting everyone on the team working together and headed in the right direction is very hard, especially with all the technical (and sometimes non-technical) challenges that can derail a team.
– Product market fit – This is one of the most challenging aspects of product development and one that needs constant attention – from ideation through to production.
Getting software into production and getting products to market has been at the core of what I do since I started my career and it excites me to this day.
