Bonnie Yau

Bonnie Yau is a seasoned digital product leader with a passion for building inclusive, human-centered technologies across organizations of all sizes – from agile startups to mid-sized ventures and large-scale enterprises. Most recently, she served as Vice President of Technology and Product Innovation, and acting Chief Operating Officer, at the Digital Trust Laboratory of Canada, where she led national efforts to advance digital trust infrastructure.

With a career that spans early-stage innovation hubs, growth-stage ventures, and complex corporate environments, Bonnie brings a unique blend of adaptability, strategic vision, and operational depth. She thrives in cross-functional, mission-driven teams, and excels at aligning technology with real-world needs through iterative, user-centered product development.

Bonnie values co-creation, incremental agile development and continuous improvement as essential mindsets – believing that sustainable progress stems from collaboration, rapid learning, and purposeful execution. During Bonnie’s time with the Digital Trust Lab, she worked closely with technologists, standards and policy experts, designers, and community stakeholders to co-create solutions that serve both the public and private sectors. As she transitions from her most recent role, Bonnie is now open to fractional product and operations leadership opportunities.
