Allan Ananura is a passionate Ugandan entrepreneur and investment advocate who has spent over a decade driving innovation and entrepreneurship across Africa. He is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of iVenture Africa, a Kampala based venture firm that supports youth and women led startups in Uganda, Rwanda, and Zambia through business development, innovation coaching, and access to capital.
Under Allan’s leadership, iVenture Africa has helped emerging businesses in fintech, health tech, tourism, and social enterprise grow from early ideas into scalable, sustainable ventures.
With a strong background in startup acceleration, innovative financing models (like equity crowdfunding and revenue-based financing), and market entry strategy, Allan is known for turning bold ideas into real impact. He mentors founders, designs practical solutions for complex business challenges, and actively contributes to shaping policies that strengthen Africa’s innovation and investment landscape.
Beyond iVenture, Allan plays a hands-on role in building the wider entrepreneurship ecosystem. He serves on the board of Startup Uganda, is a judge for the Jack Ma Foundation’s Africa’s Business Heroes, and frequently contributes to continental innovation initiatives. His insights have earned him international recognition — including a speaking role at the Abu Dhabi AIM Congress 2025, where he shared perspectives on digital inclusion and bridging connectivity gaps across underserved regions.
At his core, Allan is committed to helping African entrepreneurs build ventures that create both profit and purpose. He continues to champion scalable, socially impactful businesses using technology, investment, and strategic guidance to unlock inclusive economic growth across emerging markets. My dream is to see a well connected startup eco system that will democratize access to economic growth.
