The Trump administration has introduced a comprehensive plan to position the United States as a global leader in the cryptocurrency industry. This initiative is detailed in a 160-page report outlining recommendations for a legal and regulatory framework, aimed at supporting crypto companies in the US. The report suggests enacting legislation to clarify the classification of crypto assets, promoting decentralized finance, and allowing banks to engage with crypto assets. It was developed by a working group established by President Trump, including key figures like David Sacks and Howard Lutnick, who have significant ties to the crypto industry. The report criticizes the previous administration for stifling crypto innovation and highlights recent legislative progress, such as the CLARITY Act, as steps towards fostering a more favorable environment for crypto businesses.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
