Hadrian, an automated manufacturing startup, has successfully raised $260 million in a Series C funding round aimed at expanding its factory footprint to produce machine parts for the aerospace and defense sectors. This significant investment underscores the growing momentum to reindustrialize American manufacturing, particularly through automation. Hadrian’s goal is to modernize the industry by delivering mass-produced parts at reduced times and costs. The company plans to diversify its offerings into welding, casting, and additive processes, and expand its facilities, including a new factory in Arizona and an enlarged headquarters in California. Founder and CEO Chris Power emphasizes the existential need for reshoring domestic production, pitching Hadrian’s business model as ‘factories as a service’ to secure committed factory capacity for its clients. The funding round was led by Founders Fund and Lux Capital, with additional participation from Morgan Stanley, Altimeter, and others, bringing Hadrian’s total funding to nearly $500 million since its inception in 2020.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
