Snap has announced the acquisition of Saturn, a calendar app widely used by high school and college students across the United States. Saturn, founded by Dylan Diamond and Max Baron, has attracted investments from notable figures like Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff and Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi. The app, known for its social features and Snapchat-like design, enables students to share schedules and manage extracurricular activities. With approximately 80% of US high schoolers attending schools that support Saturn, the acquisition aligns with Snap’s strategy to integrate calendar-focused features into Snapchat. The acquisition involves nearly 30 of Saturn’s employees joining Snap, though the calendar app will continue operating as a standalone service.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
