This feature is currently available in the developer beta version of iOS 26. The AI-generated tags are not yet visible on the public App Store or affecting search results, but they represent a major change in app discovery mechanisms. The system uses AI techniques to extract metadata from app descriptions, screenshots, and other sources to better categorize apps. This initiative was revealed at Apple&#8217;s Worldwide Developer Conference 2025, where it was explained that developers would eventually be able to manage which AI-assigned tags are linked with their apps.
