Sterling Anderson, co-founder and Chief Product Officer of the autonomous trucking startup Aurora, has announced his resignation. This announcement comes shortly after Aurora launched its commercial self-driving truck service in Texas. Anderson will step down from his executive role effective June 1, and will leave the board on August 31. His departure is not due to any disagreements with the company, as confirmed in a regulatory filing. Anderson’s decision to leave is based on his confidence in Aurora’s established product strategy and momentum. During his tenure, Anderson helped Aurora gain significant recognition, including a merger with Uber’s self-driving unit, and transitioning the company to a publicly traded entity through a SPAC merger. Aurora has focused its development on self-driving trucks, pausing other projects like robotaxis. Despite challenges since going public in 2021, Aurora recently achieved a milestone with the launch of its self-driving truck service in Texas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
