Sonos and Ikea have announced the end of their collaborative effort on the Symfonisk line of speakers, a partnership that offered entry-level Sonos speakers through Ikea. This separation means Ikea will not be restocking Symfonisk units in stores, though Sonos will continue to support the existing products with software updates. The partnership, which included the production of bookshelf, lamp, and wall art speakers, provided affordable alternatives to Sonos’ higher-end products. The conclusion of this collaboration comes after a challenging year for Sonos, marked by a problematic app update that affected sales and led to the ousting of CEO Patrick Spence. With the end of the Ikea partnership, Sonos may focus on developing more affordable products to regain customer trust and market share.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
