Joby Aviation, a California-based startup known for developing electric air taxis, has announced a partnership with Virgin Atlantic to introduce electric air taxi services in the UK. This marks the seventh country where Joby aims to commercialize its electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. The partnership will see Virgin Atlantic as Joby’s exclusive airline distribution partner in the UK. Joby has a similar deal with Delta Airlines, which also owns a significant stake in Virgin Atlantic. The partnership is expected to connect Virgin customers to airports through a network of vertiports at key locations such as London’s Heathrow and Manchester Airport. This collaboration follows Joby\u2019s strategy of partnering with airlines to facilitate market entry and build necessary infrastructure. The move is part of Joby’s broader plan to launch services in the UAE, the US, South Korea, Japan, India, and Australia.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
