ZA\/UM Studio, known for the acclaimed game Disco Elysium, has announced a new project titled Project C4. This announcement comes after a period of significant internal conflict and legal disputes. The studio has been embroiled in controversy following the firing of key team members, including creator Robert Kurvitz, art director Aleksander Rostov, and writer Helen Hindpere. These dismissals were attributed to allegations of misconduct and intellectual property theft, which the accused have contested, citing a contentious takeover by Estonian businessmen Ilmar Kompus and T\u00f5nis Haavel. Despite these challenges, ZA\/UM is moving forward with Project C4, described as a ‘genre-defining RPG’ and ‘paranoid spy thriller.’ Meanwhile, former ZA\/UM employees have formed new studios to create spiritual successors to Disco Elysium, with Kurvitz and Rostov’s new venture, Red Info, rumored to be developing a game backed by NetEase.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
