Gozem, a startup initially launched as a ride-hailing service in Togo in 2018, has secured $30 million in Series B funding to expand its ecosystem across Francophone Africa. The funding round, consisting of $15 million in equity and $15 million in debt, was led by SAS Shipping Agencies Services and Al Mada Ventures. Gozem aims to bolster its vehicle financing services and digital banking solutions as part of its transition into a super-app, offering ride-hailing, commerce, vehicle financing, and digital banking services across Togo, Benin, Gabon, and Cameroon. The company has nearly 10,000 registered drivers and over a million users, with monthly users in the hundreds of thousands. With this funding, Gozem plans to triple or quadruple its growth by 2025, further validating its business model.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
