The Chinese online marketplace Temu has opened its platform to Canadian vendors, allowing them to sell directly to Canadian consumers. This marks the first time Canadian businesses can sell Canadian-made products through Temu’s online marketplace. Previously, Canadian consumers could only purchase discount goods primarily manufactured in China. This initiative coincides with a growing movement to buy Canadian products, fueled by concerns over a potential US-Canada trade war. The new program is exclusively available to businesses registered in Canada with local inventory, promising faster fulfillment and a broader range of product options. Temu, owned by PDD Holdings, launched its Canadian consumer marketplace in February 2023. This expansion allows Canadian vendors to join those in the US, Mexico, and other countries on the platform.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
