TD Bank has completed a significant data migration to the cloud, a three-year project involving tech giants Microsoft, Accenture, and Databricks. The migration, one of the largest of its kind, involved moving several petabytes of data into the Azure cloud. This initiative has modernized TD’s data management, retiring its on-premises systems and enhancing data access, security, and analysis capabilities. The transition has allowed TD to process data more efficiently, enabling faster and more personalized customer interactions and marketing campaigns. Additionally, the bank has established a data FinOps team to manage cloud consumption costs effectively. The cloud migration has also paved the way for TD to integrate artificial intelligence tools, such as a generative AI-powered chatbot, enhancing customer service and operational efficiency. The project has resulted in the filing of over 15 patents, with two already granted, signifying TD’s commitment to innovation and technological advancement.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
