AI wearables are transforming the landscape of personal assistance by continuously recording and analyzing the world around users. Two notable startups, Bee AI and Omi, are pioneering this space with their innovative devices. Bee AI, co-founded by Maria de Lourdes Zollo and Ethan Sutin, offers a yellow wearable that listens to interactions and provides text transcripts via a mobile app. The device, which costs $50, is part of a platform launched in February and is now available for purchase. Omi, on the other hand, has developed a wearable that can be attached near the temple, using an electroencephalogram to detect user engagement. Priced at $89, Omi’s device aims to generate actionable insights from recorded data. Both companies emphasize the importance of software, which utilizes large language models to analyze conversations, often requiring a subscription. These AI wearables mark a shift from traditional voice assistants by operating passively, offering a seamless and continuous user experience.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
