AEC Cares, a nonprofit organization that unites professionals from the architecture, engineering, and construction industries, is set to host a one-day ‘Blitz Build’ event on June 10, 2026. This event will focus on renovating Rachel’s Women’s Center, a facility operated by the Catholic Charities Diocese of San Diego. The center has been serving women in the San Diego community who are experiencing homelessness for over 40 years. More than 100 volunteers will join forces to transform the 4,500-square-foot facility within a single day, aiming to create a more functional and welcoming space for women seeking stability and support. This initiative is supported by ConstructConnect, Stantec, Whiting-Turner, and various other sponsors who are contributing both financially and through in-kind donations. The renovation aligns with AEC Cares’ mission to give back to underserved communities through high-impact volunteer projects.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
