Trade Winds to Success is making significant strides in Alberta by empowering Indigenous women to join the trades industry. The organization has launched its first-ever women’s electrician training program, marking a milestone in providing Indigenous women with stable and well-paying career opportunities in skilled trades. The program not only focuses on technical skills but also on mentorship and real-world applications, equipping participants with industry-recognized safety certifications and direct connections to employers. In addition to electrician training, Indigenous women are pursuing careers in carpentry, welding, and other trades. Trade Winds to Success is celebrating its 20th anniversary, acknowledging its impact in bringing life-changing programs to various communities and supporting clean energy projects. The initiative is backed by funding from the Union Training and Innovation Program and the TD Ready Commitment, ensuring its continued mission to diversify and strengthen the trades workforce.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
