JD Saint-Martin, the president of Montr\u00e9al-based Lightspeed Commerce, has announced his decision to step down at the end of the company’s fiscal year on March 31, 2026. After six years with the e-commerce and point-of-sales tech firm, Saint-Martin plans to mentor and invest in early-stage founders within the Canadian technology ecosystem. His departure coincides with the appointment of Gabriel Benavides as the new Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), who brings extensive experience from Contentsquare and Medallia. Saint-Martin’s leadership has been pivotal in transforming Lightspeed, which is dual-listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the New York Stock Exchange, achieving its revenue goals but still working to regain its previous share price highs. The company recently upgraded its fiscal outlook following a positive Q2 earnings report.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
