Habitat for Humanity Windsor-Essex has announced a new collaboration with A-LINX, a division of Amico, to launch a modular building program aimed at increasing affordable homeownership across Canada. The partnership involves building a 16-home development in Amherstburg, Ontario, using a patented steel-framed system that allows for production in controlled conditions, reducing build timelines and weather-related delays. This initiative showcases how Canadian manufacturing capacity can address housing challenges by combining advanced building technology with community partnerships. The project marks another milestone for Habitat for Humanity Windsor-Essex, known for developing Canada’s first 3D-printed multi-unit building, as it continues to innovate and expand access to homeownership.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
