Xbox president Sarah Bond has revealed that Microsoft’s next-generation Xbox console will be a ‘very premium, high-end’ device. This announcement aligns with Xbox’s recent strategy of integrating PC-like features into its consoles, as demonstrated by the Xbox Ally devices. These devices, which combine Asus and Windows’ PC infrastructures with Xbox gaming features, hint at a more PC-like approach for the upcoming console. Bond emphasized the collaboration with AMD to co-engineer silicon for this new generation, suggesting significant advancements in hardware. Despite the premium positioning, questions remain about the necessity of an Xbox console when many Xbox games are available on other platforms. The development of the next-gen Xbox comes amid reports of the Xbox Series X\/S lagging behind PS5 in sales, raising curiosity about consumer interest in the new console amid increasing competition.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
