Waymo, the Alphabet-owned self-driving vehicle unit, has announced its new service, ‘Waymo for Business.’ This service allows companies to set up accounts for their employees to access Waymo’s robotaxis in cities such as Los Angeles, Phoenix, and San Francisco. The service is designed for businesses to subsidize employee rides or purchase promo codes in bulk for clients, customers, or workers. Companies will have access to a business portal to control their ride programs, including geographic areas and budget tracking. Waymo’s move into corporate travel marks its first coordinated effort to target corporations, with Carvana as one of its initial customers. The company plans to expand the service to other cities like Washington, DC, and Miami, following commercial operation launches there. This expansion comes as Waymo continues to dominate the U.S. robotaxi service market, competing directly with Uber and Lyft by gaining access to major airports and partnering with public transit services.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
