This expansion is part of a $500 billion investment aimed at enhancing America’s capabilities in the artificial intelligence sector. The Stargate project, initially announced in January, will scale to support nearly 7 gigawatts of AI infrastructure. These developments are intended to bolster the capacity for generative AI services, including those provided by OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Copilot, among others. This strategic expansion underscores the significant financial and technological commitment from major tech companies such as Microsoft and others, who are investing heavily in AI-driven data centers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
OpenAI, along with Oracle and SoftBank, has announced the expansion of its Stargate AI infrastructure project with the addition of five new data center sites across the United States.
