Meta has introduced its first pair of AR glasses with a built-in screen, the Meta Ray-Ban Display, during the Connect 2025 conference. Priced at $799, these glasses offer an augmented reality experience with features including a camera, audio functionality, and a translucent heads-up display (HUD) that displays text chats, AI prompts, directions, and video calls. The glasses are controlled via gestures, supported by an EMG wristband called the Meta Neural Band. Despite some technical hiccups during the live demo, the glasses successfully demonstrated real-time subtitle features, photo previews, and music playback. The Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses are available in two colors and sizes, with lenses that adjust to light conditions. They join Meta’s lineup of smart spectacles including the second generation of Ray-Ban Meta glasses and the Oakley Meta Vanguard sports glasses.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
