Telus has filed a complaint with the CRTC accusing Rogers of anti-competitive advertising practices. According to Telus, Rogers has been using its media influence to block Telus ads from airing, thereby giving Rogers an unfair advantage. This issue arose sharply during the 2024 holiday season when Rogers allegedly cancelled Telus’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday campaigns. Telus claims that this pattern of behavior extended to sporting events and other media platforms, where Rogers reportedly rejected Telus ads and barred telecommunications companies from advertising on its platforms. Rogers, however, argues that Telus’s ads are misleading and harmful to its brand, justifying their rejection. Telus is urging regulators to intervene, suggesting that the lack of competition will lead to fewer choices and higher prices for consumers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
